Exactly one week from today Spencer will be graduating from school! Oh ya, we can't wait. Now I have to get my butt into gear and start packing again. I kind of put it off. Its hard packing when you have kids that want to know what is going on and wanting to help, but being too much of a help. Well, Its almost to the end!!!

Connor Is Cooking!
Today, Connor decided he was going to help himself and Rylee to some corn dogs. I could hear them talking in the kitchen and then I heard the microwave go off and Connor came in and said that he cooked corn dogs in the microwave. I went in there expecting them to be fried but they were perfectly cooked! He even got the mustard and ketchup out and served Rylee! Wow, is he growing up or what?!

Connor Turned 5!!
For Connor's birthday, we took a cake to his class since he was given snacks that day. It was a Transformers Cake. He was so excited to pick it up, he just kept staring at it. The, when Spencer got home Connor opened his presents. He got a some cars, and books. I think the cute one that he got was a book called CTR Boy from Laurissa. She called and said she had a present for Connor so we stopped by and picked it up from her on our way home from Dinner. We went to Souper Salad and Connor got to eat free since it was his birthday. Connor told the cashier and she said oh its your birthday!! And Spencer said ya you need to charge us for him since he is 5 now and she said oh no its his birthday I won't charge you. It's Connor's favorite restaurant. Then Connor wanted to share his birthday cake with our home teachers. They really are the best. I hope they stick around for a while longer. But Connor was happy with what we were able to do for his birthday even though we didn't have money for a big party, since Spencer is in clinicals right now and we are missing $400 a month. Next year we will do something a little more for him.

Influences
There is a crew of firemen that shop at the Fry's that we shop at. Most of the time they are there when we are there and it gets Connor excited and he loves to talk to them. He tells them that he is going to be a firefighter (I have a politically correct kid I guess) and he is going to drive the truck. He has to stop and see the truck everytime. It gets him all excited all over again everytime he sees it. The guys usually will stop and chat with them.

My Testimony
Ok, so I am one of those people who are shy and won't just come out and say something when I should. Its hard for me to get up and share my testimony in sacrament meeting so I thought I would put it on my blog so that my friends and family can see. First of all I just want to express my gratitude for everything I know my Father in Heaven has done for us. We have had so many blessings. I know I wouldn't be able to do the things I do without him. I am so glad that I was born a member of this church, I have seen so many people lost without the gospel. You have support in the gospel, you have love and friends. I am so grateful that Christ atoned for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane. I know that God the Father and his son Jesus Christ live and that they are separate beings. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God as an instrument to re-establish the church and to restore the Priesthood to the Earth. I believe that we still receive revelation even in this day. I believe the Bible and the Book of Mormon to be testaments of Christ. I am so grateful for the Pioneers that sacrificed to pave the way for us. I am thankful for the Apostles and Prophets we have today to be the mouthpiece of the Savior. Its amazing what family scripture study and prayer can do for a family. It has helped me greatly with the children. Its amazing to see them learning about Jesus and prophets in the scripture and understanding the stories and how important they are to us. I leave these things with my friends and family in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

A Week Of Easter
This week was a whole week of Easter activities. On Wednesday we colored eggs. Rissa and her kids: Hunter, Preston, and Alexis and then Crystal and her kids: Hunter and Chandler came over and colored eggs with us. We tried to be patient mommies, but when you have that many kids at one table all trying to do the same thing it gets a little hectic. Luckily Spencer came over and helped Connor a few minutes before he had to leave for work. Then to give us a break and let the eggs dry Ryan took the kids outside and did rocket balloons with them. They had a blast with that they ran all over the yard chasing balloons. It was a life saver. Friday, we went to the store to get plastic eggs and candy for our Carroll Easter egg hunt. We got all the eggs picked out and got home and realized that we didn't get enough eggs for the hunt. So back to Walmart we went and we took Charlee and Baylee with us. We got some princess eggs and some transformer eggs. Also we made jello jigglers in a jelly bean mold, they were fun and tasty! Saturday was our big hunt for eggs. We had tons of fun with the cousins that were able to come. Some had a lot of candy in the middle. Rylee ate all of her candy in one night. She is going to be one sick little girl.
This is the Easter egg hunt from Saturday

Uplifting Yet Sad
Funerals are nice in one aspect because its a celebration of life and its sooo spiritual. In another aspect its sad to see the ones you love go. Today Spencer and I attended the funeral of our sealer. He was also in our ward and Spencer knew him for many years. He was an awesome man and a wonderful example to all of us. It was like my grandpa dying all over again. They were the same age. It also has us mourning the dying of a great generation. The generation that valued life more than we will ever understand to do. The generation that knew how to work, reuse and loved fellow brotheren more. This generation is speedily disappearing and sometimes it scares me. I just hope that we can learn and remember what they knew and did.

Just As Excited For Easter As Rylee?
Walmart had free pictures with the Easter Bunny today. Rylee kept screaming bloody murder everytime I tried to get her on the bunny's lap. So at first I just did Connor, but then I got to thinking I want a picture of Rylee even if she is screaming. And they did it and laughed the whole time!

New Shoes
We found out the hard way that Connor can't wear cheap shoes or we have to replace them in a few months. Connor's brand spankin' new shoes he got for Christmas already have holes in them. So I took him to Mervyn's cause they always have a great sale on name brand shoes. He found these light- up sketchers that he loves to death. He is so excited for them even though they aren't transformers.

The Prophet Said To Plant A Garden
Well, since we don't have our own little piece of land to plant on we decided to use pots. Crystal started it. We just had to copy her. But I thought it would be a good idea for Connor to do it. Instead of taking care of a pet he will take care of seedlings. I will show him how to water and when the first couple of days and then let him take over. He is sooooo excited! He even planted some of the seeds. He planted tomatoes and I helped with strawberries since they are way tiny.

Amancear Program
This morning I took Rylee to be screened for the same program that Connor just graduated. They said that she was good in everything but communication. The will do a follow up appointment and re-evalutate her at three because they have different qualifying criteria for when they are three and she might qualify even higher for that. Everything that I was worried about she was fine in except for communication. She was funny she was all over the place and playing and wandering and man when it came time for her eye and hearing screening, she went crazy. Yelling and screaming and kicking. It took forever to screen her. But, we got through it. Thanks to Yoshimi for watching Connor for me while I went! It was a big help!!

Moving on
Yesterday we went to Connor's IEP meeting. I went thinking that he still needed speech therapy and that he would just finish out the year. And that when he went onto kindergarten he would be in a special program. Actually they came to the decision that Connor is done with speech therapy and that he will be done going to preschool at the end of March. He gets to move on to normal preschool next year. The teachers say that Connor at is at the head of his class and that he is a leader. We were so proud of him for graduating from speech. We let him pick a special place to go for dinner and he picked souper salad. We had fun!

Easter Pagaent Dress Rehearsal
Tonight Crystal Mabb and I took the kids to the dress rehearsal. We figured it would be better to take them to that since its an hour earlier than the real thing. We went and got Pete's Fish and Chips and took the kids early so that they had plenty of time to eat and get their wiggles out. We ran into my sister in law Yoshimi who was kind enough to let us sit with her ward. We were right at the front. The kids had a lot of room to sit on the ground and watch. Luckily Yoshimi is patient and was able to deal with our rowdy children through out the whole rehearsal.

Scoping Out The Houses
Monday we decided to drive around the neighborhoods that are around us and see what houses were for rent. At first we weren't too serious about it but then we got into it. Connor was even having a blast. Occasionally we got a request for the house number to have a number for in it from him, but other than that he loved the houses. Today I started calling around and seeing what the houses cost to rent and I forgot one of them was for rent by the owner. I had fun talking to her and she sounded nice. She sounded happy that we knew the area. The house has a big backyard and a big kitchen and its a 2 story house. We really didn't want one but we might be ok for this one. She isn't ready for anyone to move in just yet. She is waiting for the previous renter to move out and then she needs to make it rentable. There is a jungle gym in the back that the owner left. So it sounds really exciting and its a reasonable price.

hmmmm
Well, I try to post at least one thing frequently, but there really isn't anything to say. We really haven't done much. The only thing is on Thurday, Kim, an Indian girl that lived with Spencer's family for a while came into town. She was here for an interview with one of the hospitals. She is very smart. She is soooooooooo amazing!!! After everyone left the party she stayed up waiting for Spencer even though she had an interview the next morning. While we were waiting we had an awesome conversation. It was nice. Then when Spencer got home they had a discussion on the heart and she was helping him remember things...since it was late at night. She had good techniques to help memorize things. It was cute to watch them. (she is a doctor by the way) She specialized in the heart. She does research with medications. Next, Spencer only has three weeks, and five days left of school. He is soooo excited!! He even was showing emotion about it. Last night after Spencer got home from clinicals he actually wanted to watch a movie. So, we borrowed Ray from Ryan and watched it. Its a good movie. Loved it. The language was something else, but a touching movie. Thats about all for now.

Potty Training The Stubborn
I have been trying to potty train Rylee the past few days. We went and bought her some big girl panties with princess on the them. She was doing good the first day only had one accident and then the next day she was fine until her cousins came over and she was too busy to go potty on the potty. Then I also found out that she was holding it in and waiting to pee her pants later all because I was making her sit on the potty when she didn't want to. So if anyone has any more ideas let me know.

This Is Awesome
This morning I went to Sonic to get a breakfast burrito because I was sooooooo tired and was up off and on durng the night. So, I ordered the sausage, egg and ham burrito for 1.89 and then I orderd small waters for the kids. Well, the burrito filled me up half way through so I divided the half between the kids and it filled them. They were happy, I was happy and I didn't have to spend a lot of money. It rocked!

Crazy Stuff
Sorry for all the friends and family that think I am ignoring them. I am not. I just have so much to do all by myself and things to keep up. Spencer is down it only 3 1/2 weeks left of school and we have to get everything in order. And my children are having issues with daddy being gone. Their new thing now is punching each other. They have never done this before. They have in past have slapped once in a while but now they are full blown punches. They keep asking for daddy and getting upset. Its harder now because they are older and understand more.

Long, Long, Long Weekend
This weekend has been very long. Spencer worked his clincal this weekend, just like every weekend. So I was trying to think of things I could do that were special because the kids are having a hard time missing daddy. Saturday, we went and picked out a card for their cousin Kinsley's first birthday and I let them sign it. Then we went to a UPS store and mailed it. I thought it would mean more if we actually took it some where to be mailed. Then we went to McDonald's. Now they don't get to go there very often so it was a special treat. We order from the dollar menu and it makes our money go further. They played up in the play equipment for an hour and they were nice and tired. To end the day even better we went to Fry's to rent a movie for a dollar. Well, when we started walking up to Fry's there was a guy who was fighting police. He was trying to get away, but he was out numbered and the cops won! So Connor thought that was cool to see cops take someone down. Then we went and rented Meet the Robinson's for them and Amazing Grace for us. The kids were sooooo happy to rent that. Its their favorite movie. Hopefully we will be able to buy it for them sometime. Amazing Grace was an amazing movie, that is another one I want to add to our collection of movies. Then today after church I was able to start my visiting teaching for the month. We spent an hour on just one sister, but it was worth it and it was nice to actually get out and visit with adults.
