Kindergarten Registration Fun!

Yesterday I took the kids down to Connor's school and Registered him for Kindergarten. I can't believe that he is already that age! Also, I couldn't believe how much paper work you have to fill out. I thought it would be a good idea to go to the park next to Connor's school and let the kids play so they wouldn't bother me so I could fill it all out. I guess it wasn't a good idea because every two seconds mom, he mom look at me mommy! Come play on this mommy. And then they would climb up on the table next to me and mommy mommy and then grab stuff. So we all went into the van so I could fill the rest of it out. Well, from there they precided to turn on all the lights in the van, throw stuff, yell at each other and poke each other. It took me a little over an hour to fill all of the forms! Luckily we are done with the kindergarten part. Now on to preschool screening for Rylee in March. Yahoo! Ugh. I wish it was all done.

Peaceful Stroll Around the Block

What should have been a nice little fun stroll around the block turned into a loud obnoxious scene. This morning I set out for a walk with the kids. I thought it would be nice to let them actually walk themselves rather putting them in their wagon or stroller. Needless to say they are not ready for that. Unless, we move some place that has sidewalks. We got down the drive way and down the little stretch of asphalt, but not even a few feet around the corner Rylee trips. She cries I pick her up and carry her a little bit down the road. I put her down and tell her she is a big girl and mommy can't carry her. She walks a few feet. Then, it happens again. Not even thirty seconds after the first trip. She starts wailing as loud as she can and won't let me put her down. So, I say that is it we are going back home. As we are headed back home I can't count how many times Connor almost trips. I hold on to Their hands and it was a good thing because they trip like every two seconds and I had to keep them from falling. All the while Rylee is screaming like someone is trying to kill her. Connor took the words right out of my mouth. He says, just as we are getting to our house, "no more walks mommy".

Institute Class

Today we went over President Hinckley and many of the talks he gave. Then some people gave their personal experiences about him it was aweosme!

President Gordon B. Hinckley 1910-2008

What a wonderful man he was. He has seen many things in one life time. He was amazing. We are going to miss him greatly, but he has lots of work to do. He was my favorite prophet and I enjoy going back and reading his talks and books. Even though we are going to him with all our hearts, we are excited for a new presidency and see what they will do and say.

Relief Society Lessons

I am enjoying this year's relief society lessons more than usual. I love learning about all the Prophets, but going over Joseph Smith has been touching. It's interesting hearing all the comments that everyone adds! Everyone adds a little more or a little different point of view and it has been awesome! I look forward to every lesson.

Growing Up!

I just recently realized how much the kids have grown and that they are not little babies anymore. They are able to do a lot by themselves and they help each other do things now. They are starting to become friends. They are growing together, its really sweet. Connor can add and subtract a few numbers and is writing his letters better. He writes his name in the name spot on all of his school work. He signs most of the alphabet and will sign his whole name for you.He can read letters and spell them out for you. Rylee is talking a lot more and can repeat everything she hears. She can do a lot for herself and is really happy to learn anything. She want to go to school really badly and tried to get on Connor's bus. She gets to do her preschool screening next month. I hope she can get in just so she can be helped with learning.

invigorating

Even though I have been hurting even more lately, all over I found that certain exercises help make me happier. I have been trying to exercise for an hour everyday, which means I can be really sore if I am not careful. It has helped with tension and stress and I have more energy. I still hurt but I still like doing this for myself! Hopefully I can start getting some kind of a shape in the process. I hate being so big. I have never been this big in my life! I am not going to totally kill myself dieting. I am just eating within the food groups. Just the common sense things. And I am not going to be obsessive with wieghing and measuring myself. Wish me luck!!

Yeah for Chores

It has caught my attention that my kids are really wanting to help with cleaning. Before they would just help me here when I have asked them. Today Connor started unloading the dishwasher for me. He knew he could not touch the breakable dishes. He went through a whole speech about that. Then he put all of the cups and plates for the kids and then put the silverware away. I was soooooooo proud of him and it shortened my time of doing dishes!! In the middle of all this Rylee wanted to help with it. She came in too late and there wasn't much she could do. When Connor went to school she helped me clean the t.v. screen and the glass door on the cabinet next to the t.v. Yeah, its finally clicking!!! It might stay as a perminate task for them.

No television

Without sat. television has been very interesting. I usually watch educational programs on history , discovery health, and discovery when the kids are in bed. I watch these when I am waiting for Spencer to come home. Its good practice for when we move out and won't have that kind of television. It has been more quiet without the t.v. thats for sure.

Everything is new

With the new year means we start church at a different time. This year we start at 8:30 am. Which so far the kids like better than 10:30 am. I wouldn't have guessed it. The new year also means new teachers and new classes. Connor surprizingly loves his new teacher at church. I thought he would have flipped out and cried and had problems. He went right into primary and sat down with the new teachers. When I went to pick him up he was really happy! I am so happy for this. This year Rylee had new nursery teachers called and she loves them as well. School starts again for Connor tomorrow and everyone is excited for this! This has been a long holiday.

Amazement

Tonight I went and visited my sister in law who was sent to the ICU following her galblatter surgery. While we were there her husband just kept rubbing her hand and her shoulders and softly talking to her. She is kind of out of it right now. But it made me stop and think. My thought was wow after all these years of marriage you could feel and see all the love that he still had for her. I though how tender, how spiritual this was. I think I will always cherish this moment. It made me almost cry and I am not one who cries very easily.

Blaylee's sooooo cool

This is Connor and Rylee with their cousins Baylee "Blaylee" and Charlee. They were swiveling together. They were really ripping it up!

Our Exciting New Year's Eve

Well, we thought that we would try to go somewhere for New Year's Eve and try not to be party poopers. It ended up that we stayed home, but it was a good thing. Spencer's oldest brother Vance came over with his family. They brought their Wii with them and it was awesome. We has soooooo much fun with them. They also brought their quad and their trailor with them and were able to give rides with everyone in the trailor. Then we played Apples to Apples, a game my sister Richelle gave me for Christmas. Its an awesome game!!!!!! They stayed just passed midnight and then had to go home because their mommy was way exhausted! Then about 3:30 am, Rylee ended up throwing up all over her bed and it was all over her hair. We didn't get to bed until almost 5 am...sooooooo fun eh? HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!
